What are Dental Implants?
A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone where a tooth is missing. Over a few months it fuses with the bone and becomes a new root. A crown, bridge or denture is then fixed on top, so the new tooth looks natural and lets you chew with confidence.
Unlike a bridge, an implant doesn't need the neighbouring teeth to be cut down. Unlike a loose denture, it stays firmly in place. Because it acts like a root, it also helps stop the jawbone from shrinking after a tooth is lost.
Implants last only when the gums and bone around them stay healthy. At Tooth Talez, implants are planned and placed by Dr. Gauri Bhatnagar, whose MDS covers both implantology and gum treatment. If the bone is thin, bone grafting or ridge preservation can prepare the site first
Signs a Dental Implant
Could Help You
A missing tooth affects more than your smile. If any of these sound familiar, ask about implants.
A gap from a missing tooth
Even one missing tooth lets the teeth beside it tilt and the opposite tooth drift. Replacing it early keeps your bite stable and your smile complete.
Trouble chewing your food
Missing back teeth make chewing harder and put extra load on the teeth you have left. Implants restore a firm bite so you can eat what you enjoy.
Loose or uncomfortable dentures
Dentures that slip, click or rub can be anchored on implants so they stay firmly in place while you eat and talk.
A tooth that can't be saved
If a tooth is badly broken or infected and has to come out, planning the implant early, with ridge preservation, keeps the bone ready.
Teeth shifting or bone shrinking
After a tooth is lost, the jawbone slowly shrinks and nearby teeth move. An implant acts like a root and helps keep the bone in place.
You'd rather not cut healthy teeth
A bridge needs the teeth on both sides to be ground down for crowns. An implant replaces the tooth on its own and leaves healthy teeth untouched.

Dental Implant Questions, Answered.
Am I a good candidate for dental implants?
Most adults who have lost a tooth can have an implant if their gums are healthy and there's enough jawbone. Smoking and uncontrolled diabetes raise the risk of problems, so they're checked first. If the bone is thin, bone grafting can often make an implant possible.
Does getting a dental implant hurt?
The area is fully numbed, so most people feel pressure, not pain, while the implant is placed. Mild soreness and swelling for a few days afterwards is common and is managed with prescribed painkillers. Many patients say it was easier than having the tooth removed.
How long do dental implants last?
With good brushing, regular cleaning and check-ups, implants can last many years, often decades. The crown on top may need replacing after years of wear. Smoking and gum disease are the main reasons implants fail, so healthy gums matter.
How long does the implant process take?
Usually 3–6 months from placing the implant to fitting the final tooth, because the implant needs time to fuse with the bone. If bone grafting is needed first, it can take longer. You get your timeline in your written treatment plan.
How much do dental implants cost in Jaipur?
It depends on how many implants you need, the implant system, whether bone grafting is required and the type of crown. After a ₹300 consultation and X-rays, you get a written plan with the exact cost before treatment starts.
Implant, bridge or denture: which is better?
An implant replaces the root and doesn't need the neighbouring teeth to be cut down, unlike a bridge. Dentures cost less but can feel loose; implant-supported dentures fix that. We explain the pros and costs of each option for your mouth.
